Qareeb

Tu iss qadar mujhe apne qareeb lagta hai
Tujhe alag se jo sochuN, ajib lagta hai

Jise nah husn se matlab nah ishq se sarokaar
Woh shaksh mujh ko bohot bad-nasiib lagta hai

Hudud-e-zaat se baahar nikal ke dekh zara
Nah koi Ghair, nah koi raqeeb lagta hai

Yeh dostii, yeh maraasim, yeh chaahataiN yeh Khuloos
Kabhi kabhi yeh sab kuch ajib lagta hai

Ufaq pe duur chamakta huva koi taara
Mujhe charaaGh-e-dayaar habib lagta hai

-Jan Nisar Akhtar

another sher of qaseeb and udasi

Waqt noor ko be-noor kar deta he
Thorey se zakhm ko nasoor(wound) kar deta he
Kon chaah-ta he apnoN se door hona?
Par waqt sab ko majboor kar deta he!

u know - urdu sounds lovely in urdu. in english sounds um - a bit -- like --- eating peanut butter with achar instead of jelly.

although, i gotta say, used to be tasty

See, the poet has used "kabhi kabhi"

Sometimes he feels as said in the 3rd sher and all other times as said in the 4th sher...Lolz
