Although some suppose destiny to be an inflexible plan directed by an outside source, the wise liken destiny to a picture which the artist first imagines and then gradually traces upon a canvas. In doing so, the artist might alter some of the original ideas and add a variety of details as the work progresses. In the end the image might be quite different from the original inspiration.
