The infinite and the present could be pictured as being connected by an imaginary cord, and when reaching for the one end, the infinite attunes one to the all-pervading qualities of peace, inspiration and upliftment. When holding fast to the other end, however, one faces the task of constantly attuning oneself to one's perceived obligations, for one can only be at ease with material occupations inasmuch as that attunement corresponds to the rhythm of the activity in which one is involved.
