PACSI Inaugural Fundraiser On Saturday April 26, 2008

PACSI (Pakistani American Cultural Studies Institute) is a non-profit 501 C organization whose mission is to promote Pakistani culture through education at institutions of higher learning.

We are hosting our inaugural fundraiser on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Cabana Crowne Plaza Hotel in Palo Alto, California.

Our theme for the evening is "Polarization of Cultures" and you can view the invitation at pacsii.org. We have prominent speakers such as Sara Suleri (Yale University), Bapsi Sidhwa( author of Pakistani Bride and many others), and Paula Moya (Stanford prof). Each will discuss the importance of culture and assimilation. There will also be a book signing ceremony. We also have a debate and our featured speakers are from the political arena. A segment for the evening is "Pakistani Idol" where contestants will compete in a talent competition. We will also be featuring Arooj Aftab, a dynamic singer/entertainer. The evening has other attractions too.

If you could forward this to others, I would be very grateful. Tickets can be purchased online.

We have ad space available in our program booklet with rates of $50 for 1/4 of a page, $100 for 1/2 page, and $200 for 1 page with a detailed description. We are also looking for sponsors who will receive added benefits of being in our program booklet, banner, and publicity at the event.

If you could mail me your address, I can send you an invitation card.

Regards,

Khalida Kareemi
