The British museum houses ALL recordings of the Arab radio stations monitored by the BBC and its US affliates durring this era. It is an exhaustive collection of 1948 and beyond.
NO ARAB EVACUTION ORDERS found! There were however annoucements urging Arabs in Palestine to remain calm and stay in Palestine in the archive. No zionists have been able to produce any counter evidence besides the same early zionist leaders claming this happened.
Many people have examined the records. All to date have found no such radio announcements alleged by the early zionsts. Thus, most zionists have recanted in scholarly settings.
Noteably, Anglo-Irish writer Erskine Childers conducted a 1961 study on this topic. Childers examined the BBC monitoring files and discovered repeated Arab appeals to the Palestinians to stay in Palestine. He discovered no evidence of any orders to evacuate Palestine. Childers concluded that "official Zionist forces were responsible for the expulsion of thousands upon thousands of Arabs and for deliberate incitement to panic" (Childers, 1961:672-674).

Didn't the Palestinians leave their homes voluntarily during the 1948 war?
"Israeli propaganda has largely relinquished the claim that the Palestinian exodus of 1948 was 'self-inspired'. Official circles implicitly concede that the Arab population fled as a result of Israeli action - whether directly, as in the case of Lydda and Ramleh, or indirectly, due to the panic that and similar actions (the Deir Yassin massacre) inspired in Arab population centers throughout Palestine. However, even though the historical record has been grudgingly set straight, the Israeli establishment still refused to accept moral or political responsibility for the refugee problem it- or its predecessors - actively created." "The BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) monitored all Middle Eastern broadcasts throughout 1948. The records, and companion ones by a United States monitoring unit, can be seen at the British Museum. There was not a single order or appeal, or suggestion about evacuation from Palestine, from any Arab radio station, inside or outside Palestine, in 1948. There is a repeated monitored record of Arab appeals, even flat orders, to the civilians of Palestine to stay put." Erskine Childers, British researcher, quoted in Sami Hadawi, "Bitter Harvest."
