A Consensual Lament

Days float on by into the Ether - numbing me
to a tolerable degree - joy at disappointment
broken my vows - a thousand fold
as You had foretold when You had sold
me into this life of discontent
& when they said repent
i now know what they meant
tis a blessed event
a consensual lament
a grave ascent

peace
Consensual Lament is about me longing for god and god longing for me also - joy in this life is fleeting and disappointing cause its not ultimate joy - yet its a trap which i acknowledge - my life's woes and desires and journey have been foretold and suffering is a joy also - remembrance of the ultimate is a blessed event - when i remember i am remembered a 1000 fold over - a grave ascent is a play on being buried yet my soul rises above.... these are the sentiments - thanks for your encouragement ...

..."when You had sold

Nice. I love Leonard Cohen. His poems have always inspired me to write.
