National Geographic Cover Girl - comments

Salaamz. i don't have unique eye color but wanted to hear pples' comments about this village pic.

I believe this was the Afghani girl who they discovered and found her look haunting and it's much seen everywhere.

When i look at this pic, it comes across as she has a look of quiet anger almost, suspicion like a mother guarding her kids from threat, bold/ defiant.

she has big beautiful eyes of course, but looks like she's been through a lot and is scared of the photographer in a way.

YOUR THOUGHTS ON IT?

Yes, I read about the meeting. How exciting it must have been for the photographer to be reunited with the legendary woman, who boosted his career with her eyes...and, she still had that same hauntingly, beautiful face.

Seems she wans't allowed to talk with him because she wasnt allowed to talk with strange men.

I do hope she realizes what a world wide sensation she is. May Allah bless her and her family.

:)
