Must See Places in SUNNY Toronto!?!

Salam & hi everyone,

Even though I'm a Toronto girl and I LOVE our city, I was wondering if there are any places that I have missed out on!?!

Thanks a lot!

I've been told by many people that they've never heard about the ghosts at the Guild Inn--- I've posted an article about it from the Toronto Star in my journal, if anyone wants to read it.

Yes, I know about that gallery. Thanks I may check it out!

I think this JE is a good way for visitors of Toronto or even locals like us to learn more about the great places to see in our city!

Group of Seven is a group of artists that become famous for their drawings and paintings of the Canadian landscape especially in Ontario.

Don't know if you're into the art scene, but the McMicheal gallery has a great collection of Group of Seven work, just a little north of the city proper

Thanks you guys!

Cyclone: CBC's library, hmmm!

MH: I've been to the Scarborough Bluffs so many times but I didn't know about any ghosts/jinns. Scary!

For Naj: I've been to Casa Loma, Royal Ontario Museum, Art gallery, parliament buildings & of course CN Tower. etc. The usual places since I grew up here. But I know here are undiscovered treasures!

One place I really miss is the Mclaughlin Planetarium. That was amazing!

Oh the ghost story is legendary. In March of last year reporters from both the Toronto Star and Scarborough Mirror went with a team of paranormal investigators to the Inn.

The Star reporter, Bill Taylor, swears he felt a gentle push on his back when no one was there.

Ghosts, jinns, who knows... something wicked this way comes.

And yes, I have to give a shout out to the CBC building since my daughter's good friend works there. In addition to the museum they give tours of the newsroom to the public too.

Munroehuma - that's awesome, I used to live around the corner from the Guild Inn and I never heard the ghost story!

FF - I actually like the CBC building with the small but interactive museum. And the cityscape model in New City Hall. And the PATH which gets a little year 3000 after shops close.

I'm making a plug for my stomping ground--- Scarborough. There's a place here called the Guild Inn, located on top of the Scarborough Bluffs.

Many t.v. shows and movies have been filmed in this Inn, including Relic Hunter, but what it's really famous for are its ghosts. From 1945 to 1947 the Inn was transformed into a military hospital for returning war veterans suffering from shell shock.

Visitors to the Inn have reported lights turning on and off by themselves and door handles moving on their own.

The Inn is now closed to the public but its grounds are a public park and visitors swear that they have seen the ghostly apparition of a man in a top hat.

If you're not faint of heart then this is a must-see place.

Naj, remember when CAMP had that walk through Yorkville and you pointed out lots of historical buildings. Well I think I haven't explored Toronto in enough detail and I really appreciate that tour!

You have to give us more information on places and things you have seen already so we can suggest places and things you might have missed.
