Muslim political parties
A Muslim Democrat was recently elected to Congress in Minnesota, thus becoming the first Muslim ever elected to Congress.

Should we support the more liberal Democratic party as opposed to the more religious Republicans? George Bush had an imam at his inauguration and I think that, and his focus on religion driving government policy, gave him a good amount of support in our community during both presidential elections.
What about other countries? Are Muslim politicians getting elected? And are there parties more appropriate for Muslims than others?
