I think it also depends on how close to the Libyan community you are. I see sometimes non-Libyan ladies that are married to Libyan men at Libyan Eid parties and they are basically sittin' all alone left out. Its hard to mix with Libyans if they don't speak english fluently etc.

I think as long as both people are good Muslims then any marriage will be blessed. Al-Humulillah. and LOL Arnoba @ ur QUestion...it's like you said i guess, only time will tell...Thanks for the feedback ladies. :)

Personally, I think that as long as the person you are marrying is a GOOD muslim then I really don't see it being an issue. There will be bumps along the way, but those bumps exist within the Libyan-Libyan union as well.

In general, I'm really not a big supporter of muslim men marrying non-muslim women, even though it is permissable for muslim men to marry jewish or christian women. I say in general because there are some cases where mashallah the non-muslim wife either reverts to Islam and raises her kids in a true Islamic way or she keeps her own religion but raises the kids to be muslim.

Now that being said, I'm a mother of two girls now alhamdulillah...and what would I do as a mother if my daughters wanted to marry non-Libyans? That's something I have to think about :) and I have 16 or so years to think about it.

well it's up to the time ..i can't answer u about my self coz simply i don't know !! but i can guess , 70% no and 30% yes ..
reading ur Q made me think of only one thing and i'm sure all who'll read it will think of the same thing ....
