The "Make Hip Hop Not War" tour is coming through Boston on April 21st.
It's co-sponsored by Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW), the Hip Hop
Caucus, and Books Not Bombs: The National Youth & Student Peace Coalition
(NYSPC).

The purpose of the MAKE HIP HOP NOT WAR CAMPAIGN is to get more people of color, college students and young people involved in the anti-war movement.
Make Hip Hop Not War will provide the anti-war movement with a ?surge? that could transform current public opinion which opposes the war into powerful mobilization against the war. A stronger and more diverse mobilization is critical to force our policymakers to take concrete steps to withdraw our troops from Iraq and to prevent an attack on Iran.

The Boston stop is 7:00 - 10:00 PM on Sat. 4/21 (doors at 6:30) at the
Jorge Hernandez Cultural Center, 85 West Newton Street, Boston (near
silver line, green line prudential stop and a bunch of buses). It will
feature local "gold star" dad, Carlos Arredondo, several awesome hip hop
artists, and some area IVAW folks.

The artists will include: Papoose, Killer Mike, Grafh, DJ Chela, A-Alikes, AKIR, Hasan Salaam, and Rednex Poetry Squad.
