Looking for work...
As salaamu 'alaykum,
Due to Paul Vallas' inability to stay withing budget constraints (he spent $21,000,000.00 more than he had) I along with 150 other non-educational staff members have been cut from The School District of Philadelphia.
It is not as bad as it sounds, alhamdulilah, as I was already planning an exit strategy from SDP; but I digress.
I am looking for work, either contract work in Philadelphia, NYC, or Linthicum Maryland or a permanent position in Chicago or the Persian Gulf.
I have 11 years experience as an information security specalist and boat loads of experience with UNIX and UNIX like operating systems, Network Intrusion Detection, Incident Response, Computer forensics, Network monitoring and analysis, general communications monitoring and analysis, cryptography, PKI, Firewalling, DMZ design, and code review (C, C++, Java, C#, Perl, python, csh, bash, expect, and ruby). If you have a time machine my LISP and MIPS assembly skills might be useful as well. I have spoken at many conferences and conventions, most recently being InfosecWorld 2003 in Orlando.
I am clearable (SBI expired 12/2002) and have experience working with State, Local, and Federal LE, Defence, and Private security agents.
Please let me know if you can hook me up with a contact or oppertunity. Any successful engagement will be rewarded with a gift certificate to thinkgeek.com.
Thanks,
jcw
