LAWLESSNESS IN LAW EXAMS
Why the examiner has tonic of wilderness in examination halls, especially woman examination halls are always unnoticed since girls are pathetic in daring to utter single word against administration. Not saying not to pursue any regulation but unjust application of any fake and personal developed regulations would be unjust.
Recently one can get better view that how snatching papers of a candidates means to snatch away all the opportunities. Punjab university LLB part 3 exams started on 28th of august. On 6th September, at examination centre Wahdat Road, Lahore worth noticing act went unnoticed in woman examination Hall # ?E? (Hall# B shifted to Hall # E). The worth-noticing is hall?s hanging wall clock is moving 15 min in advance means when rest of the world clocks struck 2 p: m the wall clock portray it is 2:15. How irresponsible behavior of controller (Dr. Taqi Zahid Butt) that he left it unnoticed and on 6th September (second half/evening timings) girls in that hall were the victim. Sorry to say in the paper of ?conveyancing and pleading? candidate?s plea went unheard and at least one question left undo in such short paper. When candidates asked the superintendent she (Mrs. Rabbani) behaved rudely that she don?t care about other clocks, she has her own criterion, later threatened them be ready to face UMC and replied aggressively even controller could not dare to check her act (sounds nice). Finally then girls candidates thought better to shut up mouths and to face such jerk. At the spot when controller contacted his cell found off and was unavailable in the office. Later when being victim contacted controller, he started rudely that they have their own time standards and are not concerned with Pakistan standard time and when rest of female candidates are soundless then I have to be at silent mode too. But may I ask why controller being concerned authority is acting like chip of a same block and shielding Superintendent Mrs. Rabbani though he is responsible to redress grievance. Is there any rule or notification via she has been authorized to set her own standard? Is any there notification that both superintendent and controller are authorized to revise PST? If so then we want to pay a look on that notification, but why they did not notified/announced at all examination centres that PST has been revised. They are abusing their power openly by exercising very wide powers.
Yes, "inappropriate" is up to the examiner, but that's her prerogative in the exam hall. But may one request they might be best advised to "tone it down a little". In law paper some woman students entertained injustice (why woman because don?t dare alike boys to raise protest). When it comes to inappropriate behavior the only sounds heard from controller is ?candidates of law papers are mostly liars?. I would like to ask controller how is he authorized to label lawyers and law students as liars? Though his responsibility is to check existing flaws and to erase blemishes but sorry to say he is more interested to provide hide outs to irresponsible examination hall staff by camouflaging their deeds. Then where candidates head towards? It is unjust to the candidates. Now the candidates have to be ready always to face UMC on pointing out their bad deeds that how irresponsible they are? It is not a merely an act of snatching answer sheets 15 minutes ahead, actually, the examination hall staff snatched dreams and opportunities of pathetic candidates because they were girls and not alike boys could shout and oppose aggressively. Who is responsible? Is administration positive to check how many numb candidates are affected and could never utter single words because under stress of spoil future? But why being woman has to accept this as a necessary evil or the administration has tendency of abuse and misuse of power.
Being an affected candidate I left with the impression that closing argument is the law of appropriate behavior applies to everyone; if candidates are bound then administration also has to adopt appropriate behavior and apart camouflaging deeds of ill irresponsible staff they have to step forward to redress grievance. Now the bottom line is concerned authorities has to highlight the manner in which the powers has to be exercised by administration of Punjab University.
