Alif, LOL...I am still running at khan's treadmill....hahhaha anyway, you are right... I can't still cut my nails at night or clean the house after guest leave....because as Bushra mentioned, they say it could bring death....so I am superstition on that one.... don't want o push the luck.....

I am sorry... I am can't control myself from the Arab guy....hahahahahh... it is off...but still running in front of my eyes....LOL poor guy.....LOL

yeah SD, they become part of our lives and we believe so much in it and it has nothing to do with reality. I normally don't care and avoid as much as I can, but again there is always something you would/wouldn't do for whatever reason.

Khalil, really?? so we are doing all this for nothing....and none of them means anything...;( so how these things come to life and we all believe in it so much... i still don't do the cleaning of the house after someone goes on journey, I don't broom at night, I don't cut my nails at night...... just because I have been told, that they are bad and I have believed it .

yeah i had that exact feeling when in pak once i started to sweep the yard (charoo) and my aunt was like leave it since my uncle had just left for U.S. I was releived since sweeping that yard in the hot sun is a daunting task.

Bushra, We also have this, when someone is going on a journey, we throw water behind them...:) I guess it mean to bring them light and "Roshany" their way...?? not sure???

Bushra, Our family is the same about the brooming or cleaning the house, especially the day someone is going on a trip. No matter how much the house is dirty, no one can clean.... It is good, at least we get a break of cleaning for a day......LOL

you shouldn't do housework (as in brooming and scrubbing) if a family member is on a journey
