I thought today about Janna. I feel so inspired when I read Surat Insan. Yet my biggest worry is getting there. We all have so many imperfections and the best are those who repent. But I wonder how I can get there and actualize nearness to Allah, if I still have my vain pursuits( make-up, perfume, etc...). I think of Aisha(ra) and how gifted she was. In seerah I've allways liked reading about Aisha, as I felt that I could relate to her personality the most. I think of how much she memorized and translated. I think of Fatimatul Zahrah(ra) and how kind and loving she was. Yet, I think of our umma today and how far some of us are from our home,janna and I wonder why we are not homesick enough to take the road that would lead us home.
