Junoon
Junoon was stated by Salman Ahmed in the early 1990?s and went on to become one of the most historic bands to ever play in the world. They changed the way south Asian music was looked at by people, particularly redefining the way rock music was interpreted in South Asia. The band became so popular that it came to almost becoming a cult in Pakistan and India. Its popularity can easily be judged by the number of people that turn up at their concerts. Normally they are known to fill well over 10000 people just by themselves. Their immense popularity was well assed by the United Nations that made Salman Ahmed one of its Peace Ambassadors. Today Junoon still hold the popularity that the once held and now are making a comeback into the market. Their recent albums have again been sell outs and have helped them make the newer generations also Junoonies ( A popular phrase which basically means a person that loves Junoon) Altogether Junoon is a historic band and will always remain in the history books as one of the most successful bands to ever play.

I wasn't really ever a Junooni even though I like their songs I was more into Vital Signs! Thanks for pointing that out! Well then that's just marketing but Zameer is definitely worth seeing. I've heard them sing English songs & now they have a new urdu song!
