Israeli poisoned balloons in southern suburb of Beirut, after south Lebanon
A Lebanese citizen was suffered from toxication Sunday in the Shayyah region south of Beirut after a balloon with Hebrew writings landed in the area. When the victim saw the balloon, he picked it up and placed it in a plastic bag and then handed it to security forces. Five minutes later he suffered from dizziness and started vomiting and he was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Several southern towns had witnessed a day earlier a new kind of Israeli attacks against Lebanon: balloons filled with toxic gas. Eight people were poisoned, especially in the southern city of Nabatiyeh.
The Lebanese army opened an investigation into the case of poisoned balloons discovered in southern Lebanon during the past two days to determine the nature of the gases they contain.
