Information Department and Smuggling of Arms
Security sources revealed to Al-Manar channel that Customs members in International Lebanese Former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri Airport are smuggling huge amount of ammunitions inside mail packages. While making sure from the bill of the package landing, it was clear that the information department in the internal security forces is the receiving side, what caused tension between the internal security forces and Customs members who refused to release the load from the airport.
The story started Monday afternoon when a huge amount of packages entered Customs section in Rafik Hariri international airport. Its bill of landing included a statement signaling that the "internal security forces" is the concerned receiving side.
Hundred of big size packages point out that they contain military supplies. Upon checking, Customs members opened a box, and then was the shock. The hundred package contained hand grenades and ammunitions having great numbers of gunshots.

Moreover, the mechanism of transit of military supplies differs, in terms of legal proceedings, from the ammunitions. The internal security forces objected to the Customs act and tried to release the packages by threatening. The problem increased and the information department meddling became inevitable; though it appeared that the latter was the concerned receiving side of the package that remained inside the airport among tensed atmosphere between the police and the Customs members. This incident took place amid a critical situation and within wrong timing in the country which makes us wonder about its motives.
