It was related that Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (may Allah's peace & blessing be upon him, his family & companions) said: 'There are three traits in a hypocrite; When he speaks, he lies. When he promises, he fails. When he is trusted, he betrays. (Bukhari)
