well before they killed her, were there many pasthun families who were going to the girls place and talk with her parents. it was actually the same day she was killed.

There is many MANY people who support those girls. Cause its not going against islam.

I guess for some people does Izaat come before islam and your happines.

The girl shouldn't have ran away with this guy. This is wrong, and our parents or anyone for that matter are very conscious about their izzat and honour.

Even if this girl had lived, she would have been known as the "ran away girl", there is no place in our society for such girls, and they are look down upon. I am not quite blaming her, but sometimes you have to accept your parents decision and leave everything to Allah. Once you confide in him, InshaAllah he will grant you more than you had wished for. If not in this dunia, there is plenty of ajar in Akhira.

As for the father "two wrongs don't make it right," he is wrong for killing his daughter, he could have dealt with this situation totally different from the very beginning. Sometimes, our parents are so stubborn and they don't understand or compromise and therefore children end up taking such steps. It should be a lesson for other parents to learn from.
