Hezbollah to Jumblat: Daring great men does not make you a great man

Hezbollah issued a statement in response to MP Walid Jumblat's interview with the "Nahar al-Shabab" daily.

The statement said: "Because Speaker Nabih Berri has become the most capable person to gather the Lebanese and to find an internal settlement between them for the interest of this country, MP Walid Jumblat lashed out at him with his renowned speech and sanctioned forbidden words for himself to say, and because Mr. Jumblat considers the internal settlement as a treason that should be punished by moral and political execution, we tell Mr. Jumblat: First, Speaker Berri is an essential partner in leading the resistance, its accomplishments and victories. He is a first class national decision maker and not a "mailbox" to anyone. Second, Speaker Berri has never asked for our protection. It was you who sought protection from us and your request is well documented. Third, daring great men does not make you a great man. Insulting historic leaders will not make you a historical figure.

You, what you do, what you say and your failed bargaining are nothing but deeds that are like the mirage in a desert, which the thirsty man deems to be water; until when he comes to it he finds it to be naught. Fourth, what you said in your interview is a significant amount of your usual lies and nonsense.
