Have you been in an inter-racial relationship?

I am just wondering if there is a growing trend of South Asian American women who are choosing men of other races. It seems to me that there is a huge double standard though. Most men who do this are not criticized but when women do it, they are looked down upon or even prevented outright. I have heard of girls who've even been sent overseas because they chose guys of other backgrounds. So what is your opininon on this topic or what have your experiences been like? I am curious to find out.

You're right .. there are a lot of women these days who choose men from other races and even other religions. But a problem arises when marriage comes into play. It's a generally accepted belief in Islam that men are allowed to marry women of "the book", however women are not allowed this privilege. And this is what a lot of parents fear that their daughter would marry a non-muslim and be shunned by the muslim society.
