There's also 2 halal stores in Revere. one on Squire ROad (not clean and staff is kinda rude) and the one on Broadway is called Safy Market. That one has a resonablely friendly staff but the stuff is expensive;( He knows he's got kind of a monopoly because no one likes the other one.
It surprises me with the Muslim population of Revere (mostly westernized morrocons though:( there are mainly pizza joints (not halal) and no halal restaurants. Not even a morrocon restaurant with all the morrocons here.

last time i went to bkh the hostess told me that they are all zabiha now.

the food is ok. i expected a better taste.

jasmine in watertown is DELISH. mouth watering. yum.

boston shawarma is great.

there is a halal meat market in roxbury area. indian ocean and something. cooking is sometimes an option :)

OK across from that Beagle shop I think its finagle a beagle there's a smallish indoor market type thing there's a chinese resturant out front and if you go in there's a phone shop...if you walk in you'l see the line in front of Falafal king. When I was at a firm down town it was quit popular among the lunch crowd.

where's falafal king at in downtown crossing??? I've walked that area nad I've never seen it. I always have to switch trains at downtown crossing so maybe i'l just go there for lunch instead of waiting to get out to fenway:)

I have boycott against Shwerma king! ok ok they are fine but they charge for everything and they are not as good as Boston Sherma which is a hole in the wall college place but the good is so good and the people who work there are super nice (wereas the shwerma king people are only nice if you are from their particular village) Anyways also great if you work down town is Falafal king at Downtown crossing, its standing only but the server (usually the owner) greets you with a free falafal w/ hummus and it gets even better from there!) the best Sherma and Falafal!

btw, i went to the brookeline family restaurant. the service was a bit slow but the food was very good! the shawarma king was good as well.

Indian Kebab Factory on Beacon/Washington in Somerville is the best restaurant (Indian) i have eaten in Mass. The Lamb kabab and "Kali Mirch Ke Tikke" are yummy.

I second the vote on Baraka Cafe! It is really amazing and their mint/rose lemonade has been voted the best lemonade in the city. I'm also fond of their mint tea. The food's great and cheap, but service is a bit slow (I was there Saturday for lunch and spent ~3 hours there.. then again, you may be used to that in Montreal! ;))
If anyone's going to Baraka again, count me in!

There are a few indian restaurants on Beacon near Coolidge Corner, but I haven't been too impressed with them. Shawarma King is pretty good, but could be a bit of a walk from Fenway...

nadiabanana, if you'd like to experience french-algerian yumminess, you must find this place in spite of the challenge that awaits you. 80 and 1/2 pearl street (not kidding). no sign on the door (yep, nothing). cash only. reward yourself with a rose-mint lemonade once you get through the looking glass.

falafel palace in central sq. is halal and v. good i think...if you are not in the mood for meat, try their lentil soup or salads...very tasty.
