Geagea and Jumblatt Fear any Coming Solution


Jumblatt suspected that a solution for the crisis is coming; so he delivered a sharp speech to cut the road on any settlement.
The Lebanese political scene is becoming clearer, and the real goals of all the players are becoming obvious. The opposition coalition is seeking a political change in Lebanon, Saad Hariri wants a settlement, but he is not able yet to be completely independent in his decisions, Walid Jumblatt and Samir Geagea are fighting furiously any settlement that reflects the real political weight of the political parties in Lebanon, because they know that they will be the least to benefit from such a settlement.

Addiyar Newspaper in today?s issue covered the latest developments saying:

After the Saudi summoning for MP Saad Hariri, the majority suspected that Hariri might agree on the request of Saudi Arabia to adopt the settlement, which led to the increased tone of the statements. The most important of those statements is what MP George Adoaan declared on behalf of the majority; that the majority of March 14th will not accept giving 11 ministerial seats to the opposition, and that the idea itself is not and will not be considered.

Geagea and Jumblatt, who asked Adoaan to release this aggressive statement, wanted to strengthen the stand of Saad Hariri in Saudi Arabia, so he can refuse the request of Riyadh because they both know the delicate position of MP Saad Hariri in Saudi Arabia.

Key sources in the opposition commented on the statements released by MP Walid Jumblatt and Samir Geagea, saying that some in the parliamentary majority try to give the impression that the statements do not contradict the speech delivered by MP Saad Hariri in which he requested a courageous solution from all the involved parties.
