Funny engine sounds

My accord is a mere 6 years young and I am noticing the engine has gotten a lot louder. I can especially hear it pretty cleary when i accelerate and decelerate.
Any thought on what it could be? I feel like the whole thing is already falling apart - between the rusting hood and ripped leather seats :(
