Asalaamualekum. I just wanted everyone to know about an upcoming conference in Chicago on Apr 13-15th for Physician-Scientists (and even just Physicians). The APSA (American Physician Scientist Association) is hosting this conference which has a pretty interesting line-up of speakers, including Dr. Vinay Kumar (the co-author of the most widely used pathology text book in medical schools). I think early registration is officially over, but late registration is $50, and more information can be found here: www.physicianscientists.org

This conference is a really great opportunity to get some contacts, especially from people in the CDC, various branches of the NIH, and Mayo Clinic. Not to mention being able to see some research other MD/PhDs are working on during poster presentations. Should be a good event. Hope to see some of you there InshaAllah!
