In Canada it is hard finding a teaching job. Here most school boards want you to apply online to their jobs. Personally, going into schools and introducing yourself to the principal and dropping your resume off is what I think you should do.

Job fairs are good, also ads on the internet or newspaper. I'm tutoring some students who I found on the internet. Most of my teaching post overseas were found on the internet. Some advice though, know what they are looking for and decide if you have what they need. It cuts down on a lot of closed doors. Also, put your resume on the net with job recruiters. Try www. jobstreet.com or any other website you trust.

go to university job fairs. I landed my first job 2 weeks after going to my first job fair at my university. Its a great opportunity u shouldnt miss...much more personal than just sending resumes.
