Filmfare awards used to mean a lot when they were the only act in town. Filmfare award winners were chosen for right reasons. Now, they are awarded to kiss ups. I am glad Aamir doesnt bother going to them. On the other hand, national awards still have a lot of credibility.

pakistanigirl--i agree with you for the most part but jaya didnt get lifetime filmfare last year--shabana azmi did...

I honestly think the awards are a scam, they just keep giving them to the same people year after year.
Jaya Bachchan and Yash Chopra received lifetime achievement awards last year too. They should have at least honoured Sunil Dutt since he died last year. His name wasn't even mentioned with those of who passed last year.
And Zinda was an awesome movie, I think it should have been nominated for best movie and best actor for Sunjay Dutt.
Dhoom 2 was nothing special, to give Hrithik best actor for that was retarded.
Abhishek, although my fav, looks ugly with in his trademark look with a beard.
Shahrukh, another fav, was annoying with all his self-absorbed comments.
And I agree, Sridevi looked and danced amazing.

I noticed something rather interesting, did anyone see how the Bachans & Ash were seated right in front of Kareena & Karisma? Yea...talk about awkward. Def looks intentional, esp when in yrs past whenever Amitabh is on stage they ALWAYS will cut to a shot of Rekah & vice versa.

btw--i think abhishek was wearing serious make-up at the awards---i think he felt he needed to look prettier since he had to stand next to ash--

Next year, Vidhu Vinod Chopra should win for Best Director...Eklavya was an amazing movie and different for a change...now this Chopra is one to reckon with :)

Lubnah-Yeah Yash Chopra is becoming overrated now haha and so is Karan Johar. Critics are learning however to stop lobbying and playing favorites. KANK only got two nominations (Rani for best supporting actress) and (Sharmishta Roy for best Art direction)...maybe he will learn for next time!

Khiladi- SRK really got on my nerves too. He was totallly kissing a$$ the entire time. Like when Abhishek came up..."Dhoom would not have been Dhoom without Abhishek." Like, uh what the hell? We all know Hritik stole the show!

I sat and watched all 3 hours of it. Sridevi looked amazing! She did a tribute dance to the 80's Era. Damn she never looked this good while she was in her prime but she looked stunning at the show!

she may have abs, but her arms and calves are huge...

im tired of the yash chopra tributes they keep doing every year--like yeah the dude made some good movies---but enough already...

dude...im talkin about kareenas BOD...she wore that wack outfit to show her abs off...her body looked fabulous---and her face didnt look bad---karisma on the other hand...SOMEONE needs to tell her to stop pulling her hair back---her ears stick out like nobodys business..but ur right--she really didnt look too good...

SRK was trying to be funny the whole time... it was not working....

I bet you SRK realized it was a HUGE mistake to try and think he was anyway near AMitabh... when he was talking to Abhisek, SRK sounded straight fake...

he knows he's gotta deal with Amitabh's son now, let alone stop thinking he's better than AMitabh...

Kareena's outfit was straight whack... She looked average, and her sister was.... ewwwwwwww......

And SRK was annoying as hell, and should have been shot...

that whole awards show sucked rotten eggs...
