faqat is baat ka gham raha zindagi bar,
gham ka tere haq ada na kiya zindagi bar
roya tamam umr yahi sooch kar mai,
kam raha mera rona tujhe zindagi bar
tu janta nahi uski gham ki qaifiyat waiz,
jo jaane so tu kare matam zindagi bar
quwat-e-zehan mai mere itni taab nahi,
tas`savur kare be`rida-e-Quran zindagi bar
ya Allah mar jaye isse gham mai ek din Asad,
buss yehi rahi tujhse dua meri zindagi bar

actually, shers are inspired by the tradegy of karbala, hence it has a religous and spiritual aspect to it.
it is said, that after the battle, the women of thy Household, were deprived of their veils.
