Dua

How great is the Mercy of Allah, who has given the weakest of the weak a weapon with which he can fight the greatest tyrant and oppressor! For Du'a is a weapon that everyone can afford to possess, and no one needs
to be taught how to use it. The Du'a of the oppressed, and the one who has been wronged is of a surety answered.
This is why we find the prophets making Du'a to Allah when they have been wronged. Look at the story of Nuh, when his people rejected him, called out to Allah to destroy them! Because of his Du'a the entire world was flooded with water and only those who Allah saved on the ark lived. Ponder of the stories of Saalih and Hud and other prophets, and look at the end of those that rejected them. Consider the fate of thePharoah and those that believed in him when Musa made a Du'a against
them, the very Nile that they used to depend on for life was used to
kill them!
So the Du'a is the weapon of the believer by which he can fight against
any and every tyrant and oppressor!
Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says:
"Who is there that responds to the Du'a of the one in distress (besides
Allah)?"
"And your Lord said: Make Du'a to Me, I will respond to you."
"And when My servant asks you concerning me (then answer them) , I am
indeed near to them. I respond to the supplication of the supplicant
when he calls on Me."
And when Ya'qub did not know the fate of his favourite son Yusuf, and
his oldest son stayed behind in Egypt, while Yusuf's brother Ben Yamin
was also taken captive, all he cold cry out was:
"Verily, I only complain of my grief and sorrow to Allah"
The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said:
"Indeed Allah is Shy and Beneficent. He is Shy when His slave raises
his hands to Him to return them empty, disappointed."
"The Du'a of one who has been wronged is responded to, even if he is a
fasiq (evil person), for his evil will only be against himself"

So do not forget to make Du'a for your brothers and sisters, all over
the world, who have been wronged and oppressed, and against those
tyrants and oppressors, whoever they may be. Jazakallahu Khairan.
"Who is there that responds to the Du'a of the one in distress (besides
Allah)?"

A great reminder for the ummah. However, let us not only remember Allah (swt) in need, but also when He has blessed us with wealth, health and family.

Peace
