desi food stores

salam
If I dont get the answer here, I will be so disappointed:)
Do you guys recommend any good desi grocery stores? What I am looking for in particular is garam masala (which you cannot buy at Market Basket or Shaws:( and samosas that you can fry and eat. Oh and if I have time, roti too that I donthave to make by hand:) Is there a place to get this in Boston? Only place I can think of is maybe Trader Joe's but I wanted to check before I wasted my time to go there and find nothing:( Thanks

Its kinda like on the side, not sure how to describe it but you can't really miss it... perhaps someone with better direction ability can provide some better directions. Yea they have like cool insense and prayer rugs and like wierd italian candies (not quiet the third world) but for some reason people for the third world are all about wierd Euro stuff too which is a bonus!

Stuff from the third world.....hm.....yep Haymarket:) Are the stores in the same area where the big building with all the shops and the restaurants are and where the jugglers/comedians hang out?

Kashmir is a desi store in Brookline not the restaurant but I think Haymarket might be the best best bet for you if you use that T-stop. Especially if you need to get meat and other random weird 3rd world products which I love looking at :) Cheemas is good too a lot of my friends in the area go there....

I only places close to where I live and that would be far from you.
Malden must have a store. I knew they had halal meat shops but not sure of an Indian store.
I guess you got your answer so you should be all set.

I am not exactly sure what you are close to but "Garam Masala" is sometimes sold as "Seven Spice" in middle eastern stores. Its not quiet as hot as the stuff my mom uses but I can make do with it. I usually go to Kashmir in Brokline or Arax in Watertown (Pan-middle-eastern store) Also Hay market has a lot of ethnic stores/merchants. Hope that helps!
