For the first time in his hometown of Newark, former rapper Napoleon Outlaw presents his riveting life story of how he was guided from the darkness of the thug-life to the light of Islam.
Raised amongst drugs, violence, and murder, he ascended the ranks to become a rap superstar. After experiencing the superficial life of money and fame, he left it all for the simple, yet peaceful life of Islam.
Join Napoleon as he discusses these and other aspects of his life. Afterwards, he'll put the mic in your hands for an exclusive Q& A session.

About Napoleon:
Napoleon was born to Muslim parents in Newark, NJ. When he was three years old he witnessed his parents' murder, and shortly thereafter his brother committed suicide. He started rapping at an early age, and soon met 2pac through a childhood friend. Napoleon's story touched 2pac's heart, who then invited him into his group. He rapped with 2pac in many songs, and after 2pac passed away Napoleon continued to make albums. Eventually, he looked back into Islam and reverted. He changed his music, stopped cursing, drinking and living life the way he used to, and eventually gave up making music altogether. He turned back to the Deen of Allah and is now living a simple lifestyle. Napoleon tells his story to the youth who are often influenced by "gangsta culture" (which results only in violence and harm) and advises them against it. His background as a mainstream, successful rapper and his friendship/affiliation with the late Tupac Shakur, the rapper idolized by many youth, ensure that his words have a lot of impact.
