I have no clue why the Raiders picked up Lane Kiffin! At least he came from the closest NCAA program that mimics the NFL. Its going to be interesting to see how the Raiders players respond to a 31 year old head coach.

And wtf are the Raiders thinking? Lane Kiffin as the new head coach? Over Rob Ryan??? I don't get it. You expect Randy Moss to take a 31 year od white guy serious when he blew off a 60 something year old black hall of famer???

That is not true. We did wanted him as badly as any one !! he is a cunning man and took his name off the list as he knew he will never replicate what he did in 1990s. Recently, before going to Saban, he was top choice of Alabama, only to take his name from list when South Carolina upgraded his contract !! but it is irrevelent here. You are right College coaches are in college for reason. In college ranks, he was the Man and he still is the MAN.

To coach and run NFL organizations requires a different mind set where you have to go beyond yourself and deal with players making more than you.

In college ppl with huge self ego and the ones who wants to be the MAN are suited well enough, overall they get paid same and they have complete control of their players.

Bill Parcels started as College coach too... Air Force 3-8 recored before entering NFL :)

Nisa - the decision was left up to Parcells if he wanted to continue coaching. The problem is he waited so damn long - most of the candidates have new jobs. We will see who lands in BigD. Charlie Weiss from Notre Dame?
