Commitment Phobia??!!


Hi all!

This is my first journal so please excuse if it sounds too out there. And if this does not fit in the confines of the village... sorry! I just don't know where else to turn at this point.

Basically i'd like to know if there is anyone out there who knows a thing or two in dealing with the fact the 'great single muslim guy' you'v been talking to is now starting to sound like a commitment phobic... and in keeping with that is there anything i can to do to change that......

I'm sooooooo confused!!!! Is there anyone out there who can help me??

it could be someting thats bothering him but to afraid to bring it up so talk to him and see if opens up. it could also be that he is just not serious depending on his age and circumstances you would be the better judge of that.

Dont waste your time on him. You are beautiful and you seem like a great girl, and if he cant see that, then its his Loss! You deserve better.

I'm no expert but I would try to find out why he's being commitment phobic--whether its something that is believable or whether he's just trying to lead you on, i.e. use you as a back up while he's considering someone else, etc.-- and then tell him that you can't wait forever and that if he's going to be commitment phobic youre going to have to consider other people and then consider other people too.

at what stage is your courtship? do you already know one another--have you met each other's friends/parents etc
