Anybody out there in the great beyond been to Alaska by road? My friends and I keep tossing around the idea and this time its looking pretty serious. We hope to go in summer '07 for about 3 weeks. This might not be enough time since we are leaving from around Chicago. Hopefully we should have enough time to do some camping along the way but we are undecided which route to take - straight to Seattle and then north or up though Canada on the eastern side of the rockies. If three weeks seems unrealistic we might head east and try for Newfoundland. Any ideas or must see sites on the way to either would be helpful. Thanks.
