Bollywood Actors Threaten Islam
Last night some family friends commented upon their recent visit to the area how "Arab" the Indo-Pak Muslims in the area had become. the family commenting is religous family, but they love their culture and heritage at the same time.
I was not sure what they meant, and one of the teenage sons explained, "It's like this", he said. "When we lived in Ohio, if there were Indian actors coming to perform, every Indo-Pak person would go the concert. While over here in Fort Worth, the desis (slag term for Indo-Pak) are going to this Sammi Yosuf concert (an Arab guy that sings religious songs). None of these people are interested in the culture and entertainment of their own country - they want to move themselves of everything that's left of it - and want to be come Arabs."
What is so fascinating, visit Youtube and watch some of the Arab dancing...for years Indo-Pak women (Hindu and Muslim) actresses would wear skin colored material to cover themselves while the Middle Eastern women were very comfortable exposing. Even Indian actresses are still very reluctant to show and most would never perform like the dancers and actresses I saw. Whatsmore, look at Indian dancing, they are hardly any hip shakes (ignore Indian film dancing - that's cheap stuff).
What these radical Muslims don't realize is the Indian Muslim is in a minority and these actors (Shah Rukh Khan and Shabana Azmi in particular), have done much to publize the atrocities towards them especially the Gujarat Masacres. There was a time when Indian Muslims actually dominated the Bollywood, but over the years, that's changing...

First, they said it was communism that was out to destroy Islam. Then, when the CIA money for the Islamists dried up, they claimed it was the West that was out to eliminate Islam. Now, the enemy has been reduced to the Muslim actors of Bollywood.
On Friday, the mandarins of India's Islamist hierarchy slammed legendary actor Shabana Azmi, slamming her for opposing the Niqaab as a mandatory face mask for Muslim women. This attack on India's Muslim artists and intellectuals is not new.
But the attack is now spreading to the UK where a group of Islamist youth, who refer to themselves as Brit-Paks, are using Hip Hop to demonize Bollywood's Muslim stars like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Amir Khan.
Here is a report from the Times of India that should both amuse you and cause concern. These young men seem to be obsessed with a hate for happiness and a phobia of sexuality. What is interesting is that these UK Islamists' contempt for entertainment is restricted towards South Asians. There is never a word said against Arab, Iranian or Turkish film stars or artists.
Could this be a reflection of the ethnic identity crisis that so many Islamists from India-Pakistan feel? A sort of denial of their parent's culture and heritage and denial of their Indian ancestry that manifests itself in a yearning to be something else. Often seen in their imitating and embracing Muslims with fairer skins?
Could this explain why Islamist young women of Indo-Pak-Bangladesh background in the west never ever wear the head dress of their mothers, but adopt the hijab prescribed by Ayman Zawahiri? Why they dare not utter a word against Egyptian or Turkish film stars. but save their wrath for Shahrukh Khan and Ms. Shabana Azmi?

Brit-Pak Muslims bash Bollywood

FRANKFURT: Bollywood may wear its multi-religious pluralism as a badge of honour, but for the angry young British Muslims of Pakistani denomination, it& #700;s all a sham and therefore a matter of extreme discomfort.
As India's oversized filmdom stampedes across the world winning accolades, a group of British Muslim youth is trashing the Bollywood genre, warning that the "cheesy second-rate imitation of Hollywood...is overrunning Pakistan and brainwashing musalmaans".
In a rap-video posted on youtube.com that is being widely circulated in Pakistani circles, the group reserves much of its venom for Bollywood& #700;s reigning stars, many of who happen to be Muslims.
"What do you want to give your kids?/
Is it Salman Khan or Islam?/
Is it Shah Rukh Khan or Allah& #700;s book?/
Is it Bobby Deol or save their souls?/
Is it Amir Khan or imaan?" in tones a singer, preferring a hip-hop style to convey the message.
Hiphop is an African-American influenced musical and cultural movement that has itself attracted criticism for its language. YouTube is a social networking website that allows users to upload, view and share videoclips and it too has attracted criticism for encouraging violence and copyright infringement.
But for the extremist Brit-Pak brigade, Bollywood bashing comes first.

Video stores selling whores/
Semi-gay actors with Muslim sounding names/
With Hindu propaganda designed to create chains," goes one rant.
The unnamed group, which has produced the video from a collage of Hindi film clips and posters, says Bollywood movies are officially banned in Pakistan but it is freely available on video and DVD by piracy, which it says is "a conspiracy to allow Hindu culture thorough the backdoor."
Reports from Pakistan speak of the movie Fanaa being a big hit in the country& #700;s underground circuit. Songs from Fanaa and other new Bollywood blockbusters are played openly in taxis and private transport.
The Pakistani elite and the ruling class lead the ranks of Bollywood aficionados, a fact that seems to rankle the British Pakistani youth who are in the limelight for their extremist views and fondness for madrassas.
"They kill Kashmiris but you still watch Mission Kashmir,& #700;& #700; they admonish Pakistanis in one passage.
Another rap passage wonders:
"Bollywood Bollywood what& #700;s the future hold/
As film by film you get ever so bold/
Stories of lesbianism enter the fold/
Now you have to heat it up as it starts going cold/
Topless movies or is it incest next/
All the time it is sex sex sex."
