you have a very good way of putting words into my mouth that i never said and a way of looking too deeply into things...
first, i didnt say it WAS the only.. i said it MAY BE the only way.. big difference...
second.. i never said the quran DOESNT have ayahs describing the rewards of jannah.. pls locate the scentence if you have.. because i certainly missed it...
third... i dont sell islam .. i live by it ... and what u said is an example of reading too much into it...
anyway, pls feel free to critisize me more and comment as much as you want.. but im done responding to you :)
u say no one should use scare tactics to get ppl to change and yet the quran uses scare tactics to get ppl to change... all the surahs that desribe what the day of judgement is going to be like... telling us that backbiting is like eating the flesh of your muslim brother... committing zina can get u whooped 100 times or death if ur married...
these ARE scare tactics.. but there is wisdom from them... they are meant to scare us a little so that inshalah in our life time we will never commit these acts....
we noe that for a fact the convincing factor DOES work.. we see it everyday... when u watch tv commercials.. and there are two of the same prodcuts, u will choose one of them because u were convinced that it works better...
or how abt when u build a house.. and u want to noe how to insulate your walls.. you go shopping around until u are convinced that the product u buy is the right one!
now u must convince ME otherwise that what i said is not right :P
Sorry, I was quiet for long enough, but couldn't resist to ask this one question. (as much as I know and am fully aware everything with you becomes like opening a can of worms ;))
I say this because my brother lives in the middle east and I told him about this commercial, and he says he bets there is one for men because they generally make similar commercials with men and women equally to keep everyone happy.
im not sure if theyre saudi arabian because saudi arabia has this stupid mentality that women should be forced to veil and these girls werent ...
but anyway the point of the clip isnt to say that women backbite only... its just to bring attention to backbiting itself...
