we know what the western notion of feminist is - but define arab feminist??? :S

Keeper, that is not Random at all. It is a book that I believe a feminist group should read. Especially Arab/Muslim based feminists.

The book has caused stirs in the Arab world because of its provocative subject.

Ali, you're so random....there should be a random village just for you.

And about arab feminists, I know of some on this site too....it's common...they know so little about the religion that they feel the need to have this western type of feminism to stand up for themselves. The women of Madina were strong yes, and even Sayidna Omar admitted it and said , we used to control them in makka, now they control us in medina. But they knew their limits and realized you can be strong without some retarded feminist movement to prove your point.
