any folks in the fitness industry?

i'm passionate about health & fitness and made the decision to devote my life to it about 8 months ago. i'm very happy with where i'm going to be headed insha'Allah. still in school (studying exercise science and psychology) and have a while to go but in the meantime i'm training myself hardcore (i run, weight train, kickbox & do other forms of explosive cardio work outs regularly.. work out about 2-3 hrs a day 6 days a wk) also i'll probably get a small time job at my gym soon, just to get myself out there

the aim is to run a marathon one day. we'll see how that works out. for now, i'm nowhere close to being able to run 26.2 miles in one go (more like 4-5). insha'Allah though, i'm pretty confident about meeting my goals.

was wondering if there are others who are planning to devote their life/career to health and fitness. btw ive also started to get into organic eating.

thanks queen :)

supertough: good advice. while researching work out alternatives for ramadan i came across articles that said that a lot of athletes take time off from working out because all year round would be too hard on them. i didnt know this, so it made my ramadan a little easier (because i didnt work out as hard and felt terrible about it)

but even so, random vacations throughout the year take care of the rest periods. though i try my best to make it to the hotel gym or fin da gym in the area if im at someones house. often gyms can give you free guest passes seeing as youre a visitor and all..

I am glad to hear that you have made fitness your life, but please keep in mind that training should be done with some rest. Do not work out 6 days a week for a year or your body will eventually get injured. It's good to do everything in moderation.

Good luck to sticking with your fitness plan. Unfortunately, life is always to busy to accomodate such goals.

Some organic food is reasonable. Generally bananas, apples, those pre-washed spinach salads, organic desi frozen food, my specialty.
