I too believe Grossman will be OK with experience. Eventhough he's been around for a few years, keep in mind, you have to actually make the mistakes to have experienced them. We've all seen ballz get intercepted, but to continuously throw them is what will make you not throw them eventually. I can't believe I'm standing up for a guy who single handedly sunk my fantasy season!

When people start saying the Bears are winning because of Grossman rather than inspite of him, I will buy in. Bears defense is what makes the team go. This is the first time Grossman has even been healthy and people are championing him into QB mythology. You are giving him far more credit than he deserves at this point in his career. Lets wait a few seasons to see where he stands. Assuming he doesnt get injured again.

"lack of talent" is a bold word for a first rounder and secondary burner QB !!! these words come back and bite, so watch out.

CHICAGO?While coming up big in a 39-14 victory over the New Orleans Saints Sunday, the Chicago Bears single-handedly shouldered the burden of struggling quarterback Rex Grossman and led the otherwise hapless quarterback to the Super Bowl. "For a while there, it looked like Rex was done for, but then the Bears came out of nowhere with some great plays on defense, rushing, and special teams to pick up the slack," said NFL analyst Len Pasquarelli. "They almost literally put Rex on their collective back and carried him through that game. All season long, the Bears have shown that they can win, even in the presence of Rex Grossman." Following the game, Grossman admitted that he would "never have gotten this far" without the Bears, saying "those guys are the true reason for this team's success."

Thanks Inspirational that is exactly what I was getting at. TOK - I was not referring to Rex as bad as the other three QBs. He is a hair better than them ;)

Hey, whatever drives them I guess. This is the biggest game of their life and if they can add pressure on teh colts by making htem believe they should win big, then why not play the psychological games???

Yeah no bearing on what will happen this weekend, was just picking some notes from History :) .. Ryan leaf played his HS in Montana and than college in Washington State, not the places where you play highest of the competition !!

Samer: lets keep a reality check here. Grossman is definitely better than those guys, eventhough Leaf was probably the most talented of the group you mentioned.

Yes the college game translates directly to the pros. Heck, Ryan Leaf, Danny Wuerrfel, and Ken Dorsey should have played and won a superbowl. I am so sick of the "no-respect" card that QB Rex and his entourage are playing.

This is the same game. Brock berlin started but he finished and with awesome numbers.. Berlin transferred to U and became history forever !!
What I meant he was asked several Qs about being so Sub par few times and than so good the other times in OB media day.. that is kind of theme today as well !!

Actually last time Rex came to "Phins" stadium in 01 orange bowl he was under same situation as losing starting job to Brock Berlin, but what he did in the game was a statistical miracle !! I sense the same thing.. but we will see as it is pros.

Thats one way to pump up.. On paper every one knows its not much of a matcup. Rex Grossman's dad is actually leading this legion of calling out for no respect.

What do you mean not much left to talk. It's media day dammit! BTW. I like how the bears are acting like they were getting no respect all year long. Out of 18 games, they were favored in 15 of them. The only 3 they werent was new england, which they lost, the giants, and the super bowl.

xubrent: that was in cold weather. On neutral grounds, its hard to imagine the bears will stop the colts. Make no mistake, eventhough the stats dont say so, Indy is the best offense in the NFL.

Enough about cheer leaders. Gentlemen (and I say that because the ladies bring absolutely NOTHING to our conversation), can we please stick to the game itself. OK. The more and more time passes, I think the bears with the points would be the way to go. 7 points in the super bowl is too much these days. Thoughts.
