A Treat

"""A ceremony organized by SAFMA in the Sindh Assembly Premesis turns into a dance party finally and renowed personalities of Pakistani politics can be seen dancing with Indian women. Our politicians feel no shame over degrading the moral values of Pakistani culture. The Deputy Speaker of Sindh Assembly Raheela Twana, who is the office bearer of Pakistan Government, Haroon Farooqui, who is the President of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and other well-known personalities can be seen dancing on the beats of Indian song within the premesis of Sindh Assembly Karachi."""

Khan--that comment is very interesting. when i was in saudi in august i noticed one thing while making umrah, that there is a deep pleasure and peace in being in complete obedience to allah...to completely forget about the world and be in that state of ihram...Its like you are almost bought back to your fitra state.

As our Imam said in the Jumma a few weeks ago, how can u be liberal, Islam is slavery of Allah.

exactly Bushra,

we are progressive Muslims, and I accept modernism but within the boundaries of Islam and here we are stigmatized with term "traditionalist" that Islam discourages.

you know what really bothers me is the term "progressive" Islam has always been a progressive religion taking people out of darkness and jahiliyya and showing them the light.

look at naseeb... just b/c I pray five times, I wear hijab, I don't attend parties with alcoholic drinks, or don't dance around men, I am considered conservative and traditional.

You know all i can say is just be prepared for the worse and hope for the best...recently my co-worker attended this huge conference in NY--Women?s Islamic Initiative in Spirituality and Equity (WISE) When you say progressive and liberal muslims were talking about
female pop artists/ and alcohol-drinking Muslims speaking for Islam--of course men also.

It seems that islam is now becoming a ethinic identity...believe it or not these people are holding huge conferences and gettting all this money to hold and promote this brand of islam.

Taliba,
upntil a few years ago these people were called bazary, be-haya, be-sharma, be-ghairat now they are called liberals and progressive.

They are slave brained people trying to be loyal to the king then the king himself.

Pushtuns make up 60% of Afghanistan, Farsibans have lived for many years as minority, it has been only lately that they have started to get more influence. But I think they are at the height of their power now and this is the best they can do. Psuthuns have to unite and actually other people like Mushy and Tajik, Uzbek leaders are doing an excellent job of uniting us.

by the way, I wouldn't be surprised if people in Peshawar start doing exact same thing. AVT Khyber is playing a major role in this.

its sad Khan,
I honestly don't know what to say. These people are Muslims and they represent Islam. What are we teaching others. India has its own matlab. Its a known fact that they will never be sincere to us or any Muslim.

If this is why Muslims wanted a separate country, then we didn't need one at all.

Doesn't it make u wonder why they parted from India in the first place? If Pakistan is to be a secular country where women can wear jeans and dance with men, why don't they do it as part of India, at least Mushy and his clowns will be out of a job..

so I was youtubing some pashto songs and came across an event held for pushtoons. There is a guy and a girl dancing to Irfan Khan's song "Pekhawar kho Pekhawar de ke na" and a banner on the stage that read "Pukhtana ba yaad saati". The video is totally inappropriate to watch, the girl's dance is very disgusting.

the video above is just another example of our people and their mentality. They can't even dance. A friend of mine says "they are only good at looting public."

All I can do is pray to Allah to show us the right path. Ameen.
