has added a new journalOne of the biggest under-utilized tool by job applicants is recruiting agencies. Recruiters do all the hard work for you by following up on job leads and effectively contacting you when a relevant positions open up. This alleviates some of the pain of job hunting and the best part is that most of these folks offer their services for free to applicants.
In the biotech sector it would be key to utilize medical or biotech recruiters (google it). A few clicks and uploading your resume/CV on the recruiters site will land you some great interviews.
Sites that are really helpful are biospace, indeed jobs, dice jobs, or simply google biotech jobs. Biospace website is especially great it gives you info about the industry, individual company, job boards, blogging.
Also, try university medical centers, government research labs, and NIH. Most companies have their own websites with an active employment database. The best thing about online application is that you can send them by the dozens. Next best thing you can do is go to your university career center and browse through listings, company profiles and on-campus interview schedule. Use campus career fairs to forward your resume.
