As salaamu 'alaykum,

I was recently laid off of my position as IT Security Director for the School District of Philadelphia; where I ran all Infosec and related functions for our 225,000 user high speed (OC192 SONET) metro fiber network.

I am looking for work, either contract work in Philadelphia, NYC, or Linthicum Maryland or a permanent position in Chicago or the Persian Gulf.

I have 11 years experience as an information security specalist and boat loads of experience with UNIX and UNIX like operating systems, Network Intrusion Detection, Incident Response, Computer forensics, Network monitoring and analysis, general communications monitoring and analysis, cryptography, PKI, Firewalling, DMZ design, and code review (C, C++, Java, C#, Perl, python, csh, bash, expect, and ruby). If you have a time machine my LISP and MIPS assembly skills might be useful as well. I have spoken at many conferences and conventions, most recently being InfosecWorld 2003 in Orlando.

I am clearable (SBI expired 12/2002) and have experience working with State, Local, and Federal LE, Defence, and Private security agents. I prefer commercial and educational work to LE/Gov/Defence, however.

Please let me know if you can hook me up with a contact or oppertunity. Any successful engagement will be rewarded with a gift certificate to thinkgeek.com.

Resume is available upon request.

Thanks,
jcw

Since the Need is the Mother of all invention, and inspirations play alot of role in it, i thought about making this Village Entry where Villagers might share their favourite Link, Define what it is and maybe even THINK and discuss it if they want. Its like sharing Knowledge for the Ease of Comfort(homework we are stuck on maybe or the IDEA we might be Stuck on like idea of sense of humour etc) of the many :)
