I have been working with Spring/JSF/iBatis extensively at work lately and performance gains are outstanding. I don't see why would someone use anything else but Spring for service layer, JSF for Web and iBatis for Data access.
Anyway i am planning to get a skeleton project ready in a few days along-with Spring Web Flow and a few other things like AJAX components etc for an islamic application. let me know if anyone has worked with any of this before and maybe is interested? We could setup a CVS and start churning out code !! :)

has added a new journalI am not familiar with Java yet, I have to finish two more semesters of my minor before I can start my major which is computer science and consists of java langauge.
But I am positive that I will love it once I get started.

learn both java and c++ young padawan ... and also concentrate on sql in your database courses ... if you want to become a j2ee developer.
