Twilightgirl: haha, that is so true about filch...especially the poor guy playing him in the movie did a pretty good job of reminding us of a pedo.

I was taken aback by the twist of Dumbledore's sexual orientation...but what was the point to this "huge unveiling". How did this add to the story? Rowling describes her characters thru their personalities so this forces the readers to not define the characters by their race or religion. Yet, she needed to let us know Dumbledore's sexual orientation. Huh?!

I had not realized gay men didn't have ambition or could be brillant and "a know it all guide. "

Yeah she was serious.... JK has a sick, twisted mind.... how else could she come up with such a wild and wacky universe...

Kind of ruined the books to me.... I had such a deep regard for the Dumbledore character.... but imagining him as a flamer is not conducive to my thinking of him as being a know-it-all guide.... and imaging what him and Grindewald must have been doing in his parents house is not a pretty picture.... no wonder Abeforth got mad and hated him the rest of his life.... its obvious, who the man in the relationship was....

if anything Mcgonagall or Filch should have been the gay character.

Young gay Dumbledore doesn't fit the profile of a wizard seeking domination of human kind... although his sensitivity to the use of force may be questionable.

I am writing to Scholastic, I want a complete refund for all 7 books.... some of which I have bought more than once.... on the account of her misleading me and making me think that she was writing a wholesome book.

Where is the closest Harry Potter bonfire?

Have you finished reading it? Are you half way through? Without revealing any important plot details. What did you think of Book 7? Did you like the ending or not?

man, am i the only one that didn't like it ? ok here are some of my comments/complaints:

1. fred & george's witty banter was gone.
2. certain scenes never happened as described in the book: dumbledor's escape, harry's punishment with umbridge, harry & dudley's encounter with the dementors and phineas nigeles' (sp) comment on how dumbledore has style, (in the movie kingsly shacklebolt makes this comment).
3. knowles didn't screen write this movie like the first four films.
4. kreacher's only scene was way too short and his significance minimized.

i did find some of the special effects to be way cool. but the movie was too choppy and there was no flow to the story line. it was like they made the movie only for people who read the book and those people could thus fill in the blanks.

ok, enough whining on my part.

i really liked movie 3. it was directed by alfonso cuar?n and i hope he does the last two with knowles.

I really enjoyed it. I want to re-read all of them from beginning to end sometime - now that I know the whole story I think it would be interesting to look at the characters again from that light.

oh the rumors not based on fact!

She has said she intends to see the films through, although probably not pursue a career in acting aside from these films.

i had to go to the dictionary to look up 'thespian'.

yeah that's ian mckellen you are referring to. he may do and i say that because he's british. the entire harry potter cast is british. i read somewhere that all british actors are now employed because of hp movies. they were joking ofcourse.
