has added a new journalJP Morgan has very generously agreed to underwrite a literacy awareness event featuring YOUR DIL and another non-profit called Room to Read. Samar Shaheryar will be presenting on behalf of YOUR DIL.
Enjoy a breathtaking view of Midtown Manhattan, premium open bar, hors d'oeuvres, tuscan pasta station and dessert while learning about two impressive, entrepreneurial non-profit organizations directly impacting literacy in South Asia. The profit will be split between YOUR DIL and the Network of Indian Professionals.
YOUR DIL (Youth Outreach, Developments in Literacy) is a chapter of DIL, a nonprofit, voluntary organization. It's primary objective is to encourage a younger generation to work for the eradication of illiteracy in Pakistan by raising funds to establish primary and secondary level schools for underprivileged children. To date, DIL, with the help of 9 fundraising chapters in North America, has built over 200 schools catering to 12,000 students in all four provinces of Pakistan.
