Considering this has been a heavy year for natural disasters including the Tsunami, Katrina, and now Pakistan/Kashmir/India, it seems time we consolidated our JEs about this. There is an upsurge of JEs about the natural disasters, listing relief agencies, the needs, various drives and drop off locations, duas to do, reflection etc. Let's consolidate these entries so that pple can do one-stop shopping to read about how to help and thoughts regarding the tragic loss of life.

Some people have been concerned with the credibility of postings, although this is not directed to any particular post specifically. Please note that misinformation is a discredit to all those who do post and all those who follow up and it will dilute and damage the credibility of the constructive work being done. please pass on all the you info you learn of to everyone you know...not just the Pakistani or Muslim community. I think most of us already know and are doing what we can but there's a world of people out there who do actually care and would love to help out too but they have no idea whom to even ask!?

You could also use these villages to discuss different ideas and efforts that you may have used in your area that either worked or didn't... problems you're facing in with your local community in trying to get people more involved, what did you do? How did you solve it? etc

Perhaps we call all learn from each other, combine our resources, get more organized and inspire others to do the same.
