has added a new journalany books you guys found especially helpful? I haven't gone through these completely, but here's my list so far:
My System by Aron Nimzowitsch
Chess Praxis by Aron Nimzowitsch
The Middlegame Books I & II by Max Euwe
The Art of Attack in Chess by Vladimir Vukovic

depends on your strength. The initial list are good classic books to start out with. Silman is also good for U1600. Jacob Jaagard is good for the 1600-2000 crowd. Series by Mark Dvoretsky is for the advanced player. Also there are classics like the Play like a Grandmaster by Kotov. Benko is the best for endgames, but you have to master the basics first before u try to attempt his problems.
