Wouldnt It .....

Wouldn’t it be nice, If people thought twice
Before they spoke words Or extended a hand
With thoughts and words which they had written in sand

Wouldn’t it be so good, if people done as they should
Looked beyond the façade and truly sought to understand
The truth and voice of sincere hearts and souls in this land

Wouldn’t it be such a relief, and save all from so much grief
If sincerity and honesty prevailed
Selifishness and lies were de-railed

Wouldn’t it be oh so sweet, and ever so neat
To be in a land where egos did not exist
Finger pointing did not persist

So caught up are most , they forget they are the host
Ignored are the simple values of life
Most insist on living in or causing strife

Go on, just stop for a while, no, don’t run a mile
Just stop, Look and see, the beauty in this world there be
The sun, the stars, the clouds, the sand, flowers and leaves too
The air you breathe, how do u use it, stop and think
To utter expletives or kind words and thoughts …it could all be gone in a blink

wouldn't it be such a relief, if there was real belief
we all descend from one creator
there are no ifs buts or other matters
to this end then, respect and value
don't tear apart then look for the glue

indeed naurozkhayal.....shades of grey persist more :) test of time is there for all of us ..and of course how each fares in holding onto basic tenants ie faith, truth, compassion etc are the key , as you rightly noted. thank you for your comment /participation in this journal

Chiragh-e-raah,the fact of the matter is we don't live in a perfect world and over here deception is the buzz word.And may be the higher power conceived it this way,its basically a test of our endurance and our ability to cope with reality.May be it would would have been better if everything here was black and white ,but who knows.Its all about ,how true are to your creators wishes and your ability to hang on to truth and basic humanity!!

:) am really pleased you chose to share...and yess I do so agree. strangely enough I put a little something up in my last journal referring to karma loll..
as I said in this poem how do we use the air...and not only do the words we utter for example, sow seeds of doubt /thought/discontent etc so they also foster care/empathy/good or bad behaviour. You have taken or looked at this from another aspect ie scientifically but come to the same point or conclusion in my opinion. I hope I haven't made a hash loll of trying to clarify my thoughts now :)
