Who exactly are you looking for and what are you willing to compromise on to keep him or her?

This place definitely lacks good conversation. I have a question for all and I'm sure this will start a conversation (hopefully). To what degree are you willing to compromise to be with someone? Meaning, what would be considered a deal breaker? - A divorced person? - A disabled person? - A person with a low income job? - A single person with a child? - A younger/older person? - etc... We all have the ideal person in mind and hope to find. But realistically speaking you may not find everything in this one person or you may find everything but this person may come with things you haven't really considered. So what would you consider and not consider? Let the games begin :)

Hi Happiness79. I totally get what you are saying. Like I mentioned we all have this "image" or ideal person in mind and strive to get that. However sometimes that doesn't always happen. We don't anticipate falling for a person who is widowed, divorce, disabled etc... So when we are confronted with a situation like that we'll hesitate. The reaction is understandable as well because it does require a degree of compromise. That may not be the case for all. Take my friend for example. He ended up marrying a disabled girl and have been married for at least a decade now. They are still as strong as they were when they met. These marriages can work but it is something that is unexpected. It is one thing to say that there is nothing that will hold one back from another but when faced with it in reality it's an entire different story.

a good question! compromise is never one sided. for me important quality is being human in true sense of a word. which is lacking these days. we do not treat others the way we want our selves to be treated.
to find a life partner in this era is difficult, and as far as ur question is concerned, if one finds some one closer to the image in ones mind, i think mind start calculating where to do the compromise and what not to consider! then being disabled, divorced, low income doesnt matter at all!
